- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup bubblegum flavoring
- Food coloring (pink and blue)
- 1 cup buttercream frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Divide the batter into two bowls and add pink food coloring to one and blue to the other.
- Using a spoon, alternate spoonfuls of the pink and blue batter into each cupcake liner to create a swirl effect.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting with buttercream frosting.
Notes
- For a stronger bubblegum flavor, increase the amount of bubblegum flavoring.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- These cupcakes can be decorated with sprinkles for added fun.
