Description

A delicious and spicy Cajun chicken served over garlic parmesan linguine, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain and add to the skillet with the sauce.
  6. Slice the chicken and place it on top of the linguine. Toss everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more Cajun seasoning to taste.
  • This dish can be made with shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood twist.
