- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, and mixed vegetables to the skillet.
- Mix well and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- You can add your favorite spices for extra flavor.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
