  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each triangle.
  5. Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Roll up the triangles starting from the wide end to the point.
  7. Place the rolled muffins on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a pinch of almond extract to the cream cheese mixture.
