- 1 can of crescent roll dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
- Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on each triangle.
- Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Roll up the triangles starting from the wide end to the point.
- Place the rolled muffins on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of almond extract to the cream cheese mixture.
- These muffins can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
