Ingredients

- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the seafood stock and Old Bay seasoning, bringing the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat and stir in the crab meat and shrimp, cooking until shrimp are pink.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let it heat through without boiling.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This bisque can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
- Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
