- 4 Banana Peppers
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- Oil (for frying)
- 1 cup Ranch Dressing
Instructions
- Prep the peppers by slicing them in half lengthwise and removing the seeds.
- Mix the coating by whisking together flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each banana pepper half in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat about an inch of oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the coated banana peppers in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
- Drain the oil using a slotted spoon and place the peppers on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve with a generous bowl of ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
For a healthier option, these peppers can be baked in the oven at 400°F or cooked in an air fryer.
