Description

Crispy fried banana peppers with a creamy ranch dip, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Banana Peppers
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • Oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Ranch Dressing

Instructions

  1. Prep the peppers by slicing them in half lengthwise and removing the seeds.
  2. Mix the coating by whisking together flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each banana pepper half in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the coated banana peppers in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, flipping halfway through.
  6. Drain the oil using a slotted spoon and place the peppers on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve with a generous bowl of ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

For a healthier option, these peppers can be baked in the oven at 400°F or cooked in an air fryer.
