Description

A delicious twist on traditional lasagna, featuring layers of garlic butter shrimp scampi, creamy cheese, and pasta.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
  5. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of the cream mixture, followed by a layer of lasagna noodles, then a layer of shrimp. Repeat the layers, finishing with the cream mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.

  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or zucchini for added nutrition.
