German Chocolate Brownies with Coconut‑Pecan Topping Delight!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Mix in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine coconut, pecans, and sweetened condensed milk.
  8. Spread the coconut-pecan mixture over the brownies after they have cooled for 10 minutes.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  10. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
