Description
Deliciously rich German Chocolate Brownies topped with a sweet coconut-pecan frosting.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Mix in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- In a separate bowl, combine coconut, pecans, and sweetened condensed milk.
- Spread the coconut-pecan mixture over the brownies after they have cooled for 10 minutes.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
- These brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
