  • Butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the hot cross buns in half and spread butter on each half.
  3. Arrange the buns in a greased baking dish, cut side up.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  5. Pour the mixture over the buns, ensuring they are well soaked.
  6. Sprinkle raisins or currants on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
