- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
Instructions
- Mix the warm milk with the yeast and sugar; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl, make a well and add the yeast mixture and eggs; mix until combined.
- Knead in the softened butter until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1-2 hours.
- Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle on a floured surface; spread raspberry jam over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to create a cylinder.
- Twist the rolled dough and place in a greased loaf pan, seam-side down.
- Let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes until puffy and doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
For an overnight option, prepare the dough in advance and let it rise in the fridge. You can also bake in an air fryer for a quicker method.
