- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the sourdough discard, buttermilk, and melted butter to the dry ingredients.
- Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
