- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the donuts cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the batter.
- These donuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
