Strawberry Pretzel Salad is a delightful dessert that combines the salty crunch of pretzels with the sweetness of strawberries and a creamy filling, making it a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the sliced strawberries.
  7. Once the gelatin mixture has cooled slightly, pour it over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense strawberry flavor, use fresh strawberries instead of frozen.
  • Make sure the pretzel crust is completely cooled before adding the cream cheese layer to prevent melting.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
