- 2 oranges, juiced and zested
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix orange juice, zest, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it is well coated.
- Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Baste the chicken with the marinade every 30 minutes for extra flavor.
- Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.
Notes
- For a crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
