Ingredients

  • 1 cup tempura batter mix
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine crab meat, green onions, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the tempura batter mix with cold water until smooth.
  3. Fold the crab mixture into the tempura batter until well combined.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Using a spoon, drop small balls of the crab mixture into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.
