Description

A delicious and hearty sandwich featuring turkey and cranberry sauce, perfect for lunch or a quick dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole grain bread
  • 4 ounces of sliced turkey breast
  • 2 tablespoons of cranberry sauce
  • 1 slice of Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Layer turkey, cranberry sauce, and Swiss cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Top with the other slice of bread, mayonnaise side down.
  4. Butter the outside of the sandwich.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use low-fat mayonnaise.
  • Feel free to add spinach or arugula for extra greens.
  • This sandwich can be made with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving.
