- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a large bowl.
- Pour in the melted butter and buttermilk, stirring gently until combined.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead a few times.
- Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thickness.
- Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuits, pressing straight down without twisting.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet close together.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
For make-ahead biscuits, freeze the cut biscuits and bake straight from the freezer with added baking time.
