Description

A delicious blend of creamy avocado, savory chicken, and melted cheese, sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (whole wheat, sourdough, or rye)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Butter for spreading
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread slices until lightly golden.
  2. Mash the ripe avocado in a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Spread the mashed avocado on one slice of toasted bread.
  4. Layer the sliced chicken breast on top of the avocado.
  5. Add a generous amount of shredded cheese over the chicken.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add butter.
  8. Grill the sandwich for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Serve hot, sliced in half to reveal the gooey filling.

Notes
