- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup butter

Instructions
- Combine buttermilk, sugar, butter, and salt in a large saucepan.
- Turn the heat to medium and stir continuously until it reaches a rolling boil.
- Reduce stirring and allow to boil for about 10-12 minutes, monitoring temperature with a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and add chopped pecans and vanilla extract, stirring until fully combined.
- Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool until hardened.
Notes
