- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: garlic powder and paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Prepare the filling by mixing the cooked beef and onions with cream of mushroom soup and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Layer the casserole in a greased dish: half of the sliced potatoes, half of the beef mixture, and half of the cheese. Repeat layers finishing with cheese.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
- Let it rest before serving to allow the layers to set.
Notes
