Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Spread the pitted cherries evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is puffed and golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of almond extract.
- Clafoutis can be served warm or at room temperature.
