Description

A delightful twist on classic chili dogs, these chili dog poppers are bite-sized morsels covered in a golden crescent roll, filled with savory chili, hot dogs, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • Hot Dogs (beef, pork, turkey, or plant-based)
  • Crescent Roll Dough
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • Chili (homemade or store-bought)
  • Jalapeños (optional)
  • Olive Oil
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the crescent roll dough on a flat surface and cut it into triangles.
  3. Layer a small dollop of chili, a slice of hot dog, and shredded cheddar cheese on the wide base of each triangle.
  4. Roll the dough from the wide end to the tip, tucking in the sides as you go.
  5. Arrange the rolled poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush each popper with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling the poppers and refrigerating until ready to bake. For air frying, cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes.
