Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, stirring gently.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the batter.
- Layer the remaining batter over the first layer and top it with the rest of the brown sugar mixture and chopped nuts.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before drizzling it with a powdered sugar glaze, if desired.
