Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water with the yeast and a sprinkle of sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Whisk together the remaining sugar, milk, melted butter, salt, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the frothy yeast mixture with the other ingredients and gradually add 3 cups of flour to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding more flour if sticky.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a kitchen towel for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into small rolls and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Second rise the rolls for 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt before baking for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
