Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil spray for air frying
  • Creamy dip (ranch or your choice)

Instructions

  1. Slice the onion into petal-like cuts, stopping just short of the root.
  2. Soak the onion in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the coating by whisking flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt together.
  4. Dredge the soaked onion in the flour mixture.
  5. Double-Coat the onion in buttermilk then breadcrumbs.
  6. Spray the coated onion lightly with oil.
  7. Air Fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Serve with your choice of creamy dip and enjoy!

Notes
