Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buns for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  2. Mix the Sauce: Combine BBQ sauce, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Pour it Over: Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.
  4. Cover and Cook: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Shred the Chicken: Shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve: Spoon the pulled chicken into buns with optional toppings.

Notes

You can use frozen chicken breasts, just increase the cooking time. For a spicier dish, consider adding cayenne pepper or spicy BBQ sauce.
