Ingredients

  • 6 flaky croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup deli meat (ham, turkey, or chicken), chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: chopped fresh herbs (parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth in a large bowl.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  4. Layer the torn croissants in the dish, followed by the chopped deli meat and shredded cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, gently pressing them to soak.
  6. Let the casserole sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb the mixture.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and the egg is set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.
