Description
A nostalgic treat combining sweet peanut butter with rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion without the need for baking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups quick oats
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa powder. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat. Boil for exactly one minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
- Remove from heat and stir in creamy peanut butter and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is melted and smooth.
- Gradually fold in quick oats, ensuring every oat is coated with the mixture.
- Using a spoon, drop heaping spoonfuls of the mixture onto sheets of wax paper. Allow them to cool at room temperature until set, which takes around 30 minutes.
Notes
For a richer cookie, experiment with a little more cocoa or an extra scoop of peanut butter.
