Description

A vibrant and crunchy dish featuring crispy tortilla chips, zesty tomatillo salsa, and creamy avocado, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • Thick Tortilla Chips
  • 3 Tomatillos, husked and chopped
  • 2 Serrano Chiles, chopped
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Queso Fresco, crumbled
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare a warm environment for the chips.
  2. Combine the tomatillos, serrano chiles, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Toast the tortilla chips in a large skillet over medium heat until golden and crispy.
  4. Pour the prepared salsa verde over the warm tortilla chips and stir gently to coat.
  5. Cook for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld while retaining the chips’ crunch.
  6. Serve immediately with sliced avocado, crumbled queso fresco, and any additional garnishes you desire.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding poached eggs or sautéed vegetables as toppings.
