- Thick Tortilla Chips
- 3 Tomatillos, husked and chopped
- 2 Serrano Chiles, chopped
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped
- 1 Avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup Queso Fresco, crumbled
- Juice of 1 Lime
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare a warm environment for the chips.
- Combine the tomatillos, serrano chiles, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Toast the tortilla chips in a large skillet over medium heat until golden and crispy.
- Pour the prepared salsa verde over the warm tortilla chips and stir gently to coat.
- Cook for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld while retaining the chips’ crunch.
- Serve immediately with sliced avocado, crumbled queso fresco, and any additional garnishes you desire.
