- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until evenly cooked.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Top the potatoes with the beef mixture and then layer in the fresh green beans.
- Pour the beef broth or water over the layers, seasoning generously with salt and pepper.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Cool slightly before serving.
