Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: Pour warm water into a large bowl and sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt together.
  3. Bring it together: Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the dry ingredients. Stir until a rough dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let it rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Divide and freeze: Punch down the dough, divide into portions, wrap in plastic wrap, and place in freezer bags.
  7. Prepare to cook: Thaw a portion in the refrigerator, roll out, and shape to fit your pan.
