  • 2 tbsp Capers, rinsed and drained
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Optional: 200g Roasted Shrimp

Instructions

  1. Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Sauté Garlic: While the spaghetti cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add Capers and Lemon Zest: Toss in the capers and lemon zest, stirring together for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  4. Combine with Spaghetti: Drain the cooked spaghetti, reserving some pasta water. Add spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Season to Taste: Sprinkle with salt and pepper, adjusting according to your palate.
  6. Finish with Freshness: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and extra capers.
  7. Add Shrimp (Optional): Toss in roasted shrimp for added protein.
