Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda until combined.
- Pour in the buttermilk and melted butter, stirring with a spatula until just combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking pan.
- Turn the rested dough onto a floured surface, divide into 12 pieces, and shape into balls.
- Place the dough balls close together in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can use whole wheat flour for a richer taste or Greek yogurt instead of buttermilk.
