Description

Indulge in warm, gooey cinnamon rolls topped with cream cheese frosting. Perfect for special occasions or leisurely mornings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yeast mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Mix in ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in the flour, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place your kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the remaining melted butter over its surface.
  5. Sprinkle the rolled-out dough generously with ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
  6. Shape the dough by tightly rolling it up from the long edge and slice it into 1-inch thick pieces.
  7. Cover the rolls loosely and let them rise for 30-45 minutes, then preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth for the frosting.
  10. Drizzle the creamy frosting over warm cinnamon rolls and serve immediately.

Notes
