Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread (brioche or challah)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 cups of fresh peaches, sliced
  • Butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Grease the dish: Generously butter your 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the bread: Arrange the slices of bread evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  3. Add peaches: Scatter the sliced peaches on top of the bread layers.
  4. Whisk together custard: In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  5. Pour custard mixture: Slowly pour the custard over the bread and peaches.
  6. Refrigerate overnight: Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge.
