Description

Hearty and comforting Porcupine Meatballs made with ground beef and rice, simmered in a tangy tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Place them snugly in a baking dish.
  5. Mix together the tomato sauce and water in a separate bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs.
  7. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 1 hour.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
