- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally roll in the crushed pretzels.
- Sear the chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Make the sauce by combining heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and shredded cheddar in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
- Drizzle the sauce over the chicken before serving.
