Description

Indulgent brownies filled with gooey Rolo candies that create a delightful contrast between rich chocolate and sweet caramel.

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Rolo candies
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large mixing bowl. Stir in granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the Rolo candies gently to distribute them throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Finish by sprinkling flaky sea salt on top. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

These brownies can be made a day in advance and store well at room temperature. For a twist, try adding fudge sauce or nuts.
