Description

Flaky pastry filled with a savory mixture of sausage, egg, and cheese, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut them into 4-inch squares.
  3. Whisk together the eggs in a bowl.
  4. Stir in the cooked, crumbled sausage and shredded cheese, then season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges tightly.
  7. Brush the tops with a beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For make-ahead convenience, assemble the puffs the night before and refrigerate. You can also use an air fryer for a crunchier result.
