Description

Indulge in Scotcheroos, a no-bake dessert combining peanut butter, chocolate, and butterscotch over a crunchy base of Rice Krispies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Combine corn syrup and sugar: In a medium saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add peanut butter: Remove from heat and stir in creamy peanut butter until smooth.
  3. Mix with Rice Krispies: In a large bowl, combine Rice Krispies with the peanut butter mixture. Stir gently until fully coated.
  4. Press into pan: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch pan. Press down firmly to create an even layer.
  5. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and butterscotch chips. Microwave in intervals until melted and smooth.
  6. Spread over cereal layer: Spread the melted mixture evenly over the Rice Krispies layer.
  7. Chill and cut: Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes
