- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Instructions
- Combine corn syrup and sugar: In a medium saucepan, combine corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Add peanut butter: Remove from heat and stir in creamy peanut butter until smooth.
- Mix with Rice Krispies: In a large bowl, combine Rice Krispies with the peanut butter mixture. Stir gently until fully coated.
- Press into pan: Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch pan. Press down firmly to create an even layer.
- Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate and butterscotch chips. Microwave in intervals until melted and smooth.
- Spread over cereal layer: Spread the melted mixture evenly over the Rice Krispies layer.
- Chill and cut: Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
These can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container. Customize with sea salt or chopped nuts for added flavor.
