Description
A versatile and flavorful seasoned ground beef filling, perfect for tacos or any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: additional veggies (like corn or black beans)
Instructions
- Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium heat. Cook until beautifully browned, around 5-7 minutes, using a wooden spoon to break it up.
- Drain excess fat carefully—this step keeps the dish rich without being greasy.
- Toss in the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Sauté until softened, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and pour in the water. Mix well until each strand of beef is coated.
- Allow everything to simmer gently for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens beautifully.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
- Serve warm in taco shells, tortillas, or use it as a filling for burritos or salad bowls.
Notes
This seasoned ground beef stores well and can be made ahead. Reheat as needed.
