- 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 ounces smoked salmon
- Butter for spreading

Instructions
- Butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
- Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet heated over medium.
- Top with one slice of cheese, followed by smoked salmon and the second slice of cheese.
- Cover with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
- Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.
