Description
A delightful layered dessert featuring creamy vanilla pudding, ripe bananas, and crunchy Nilla Wafers that evokes warm memories of family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (11 oz) box Nabisco Nilla Wafers
- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip, thawed
- 5 ripe bananas, sliced
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk, Jell-O pudding mixes, and Eagle Brand condensed milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
- Gently fold in half of the Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until well combined.
- Begin layering your masterpiece in a trifle dish or your chosen pan: start with a layer of Nilla Wafers, followed by a layer of the pudding mixture, and then a layer of sliced bananas. Repeat these layers until you reach the top, finishing with pudding.
- Finish with a dollop of the remaining Cool Whip on top and a sprinkle of crushed Nilla Wafers. Chill in the fridge for at least 120 minutes.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Prepare and assemble the trifle a day in advance; the flavors deepen with time. If made the same day, aim for at least a 2-hour chill for the best texture.
