Description

A delightful layered dessert featuring creamy vanilla pudding, ripe bananas, and crunchy Nilla Wafers that evokes warm memories of family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (11 oz) box Nabisco Nilla Wafers
  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 (8 oz) tub Cool Whip, thawed
  • 5 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk, Jell-O pudding mixes, and Eagle Brand condensed milk until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
  2. Gently fold in half of the Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until well combined.
  3. Begin layering your masterpiece in a trifle dish or your chosen pan: start with a layer of Nilla Wafers, followed by a layer of the pudding mixture, and then a layer of sliced bananas. Repeat these layers until you reach the top, finishing with pudding.
  4. Finish with a dollop of the remaining Cool Whip on top and a sprinkle of crushed Nilla Wafers. Chill in the fridge for at least 120 minutes.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare and assemble the trifle a day in advance; the flavors deepen with time. If made the same day, aim for at least a 2-hour chill for the best texture.
