Description

A delicious twist on a classic, this hearty spaghetti pie features a creamy ricotta filling and savory meat sauce, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Spaghetti
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 lb Ground beef or turkey
  • 2 cups Spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Basil, dried
  • 1 tsp Oregano, dried

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whip together the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, herbs, egg, salt, and pepper until fluffy.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until browned. Add the spaghetti sauce and let simmer.
  5. Mix the cooked spaghetti into the meat sauce until well coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased pie dish, pressing it down firmly.
  7. Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the spaghetti layer.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Customize by swapping beef with turkey or adding veggies. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 3 months.
