Description

A delightful dessert of creamy mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee mixture by combining brewed coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  2. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly until just damp.
  3. Create the mascarpone mixture by beating mascarpone cheese with heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers across the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Add half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  6. Layer half of the sliced strawberries on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.
  8. Dust the top with cocoa powder using a sifter.
  9. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or overnight.

Notes

For best results, make the tiramisu a day in advance. You can substitute ladyfingers with sponge cake and strawberries with other berries.
