- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional)
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the coffee mixture by combining brewed coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly until just damp.
- Create the mascarpone mixture by beating mascarpone cheese with heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers across the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Add half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Layer half of the sliced strawberries on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder using a sifter.
- Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
Notes
For best results, make the tiramisu a day in advance. You can substitute ladyfingers with sponge cake and strawberries with other berries.
