- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin
Instructions
- Prep the ingredients: Hull and chop the strawberries, finely chop jalapeños (wear gloves if sensitive to spice).
- Combine in a pot: In a large pot, mix chopped strawberries, jalapeños, and lemon juice, stirring gently to combine.
- Bring to a boil: Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring regularly.
- Sweeten the mixture: Add the sugar and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until fully dissolved.
- Incorporate the pectin: Gradually stir in the fruit pectin and bring to a rolling boil for about 1 minute.
- Fill your jars: Remove pot from heat and carefully pour the jam into sterilized jars.
- Seal and cool: Secure jars with lids and let cool completely at room temperature.
