Description

A comforting dish with layers of tender potatoes and a creamy blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish with butter.
  2. Combine the heavy cream, milk, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, then pour half of the creamy mixture over the potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese over the top.
  5. Repeat the layers, adding the remaining potatoes and cream mixture, and topping with the rest of the cheeses.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly before garnishing with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Can be prepared a day in advance. Just cover and refrigerate before baking. For shorter cooking time, consider using an air fryer.
